In Memoriam

Charlene R. Schroeder, 74 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. The daughter of Victor and Dorothy (Halse) Hindelang she was born on July 9, 1947 in Detroit, MI. Charlene married Frederick Schroeder III on February 8, 1968 and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2021.
 
Charlene was a Past Commodore for West River Yacht Club and a member of the Cooley Canal Yacht Club where she held various officer roles. She worked for different office related jobs retiring in 2016. Charlene enjoyed needle point and knitting, knitting all members of her family a Christmas stocking. Together, with her husband, Fred they enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling. Charlene found a special joy with her boating community friends.
 
Charlene is survived by her children, Darlene (Jeff) Agan and Rick (Mary) Schroeder; grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Davis, Jon “JJ” Gallaher, Haley Schroeder, Hannah Schroeder and Emily Schroeder; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Weston and Brynn Hirzel; 8 step- grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
 
Visitation will be on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI 48182 where a Blue Gavel Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow.

In Memoriam

With great sadness, we report that 2009 I-LYA Commodore’s Lady Donna Payne suddenly and recently passed away.  No details are known at this time.  Just this past weekend, many of us enjoyed her company at the Fall Meeting.

Please keep Commodore Ed, along with the entire Payne family and Donna’s friends, in your thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time.
